Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Urumqi

Upon arrival in Urumqi, your guide will meet and greet you at the airport. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel, the Four Points by Sheraton Urumqi or a similar hotel. After checking in, take some time to relax and recover from your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the option for a leisurely evening walk around the city or enjoy the hotel’s facilities.

Day 2: Urumqi - Tianchi Lake - Beitun

After breakfast, embark on a scenic day trip to Tianchi Lake (Heavenly Lake), one of Xinjiang's most beautiful natural landmarks, situated in the Tianshan Mountains. Here, you can take in stunning views of the lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Afterwards, enjoy a scenic drive along the S21 Desert Highway, passing through the vast Gurbantünggüt Desert. Continue your journey to Beitun, where you’ll check in to the Beitun Chenji Garden Hotel or a similar hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 3: Beitun – Jiadenyu

After breakfast, your journey continues to Jiadenyu. En route, make a stop at the stunning Five-Color Beach, known for its striking landscape formed by vibrant mineral deposits. Once you arrive in Jiadenyu, check in to the Kanas Hongfu Eco Hotel or a similar hotel. You will have the remainder of the day to relax, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, or explore the area at your leisure.

Day 4: Jiadenyu - Kanas – Jiadenyu

Today, spend a full day exploring the natural beauty of the Kanas Lake area. Visit Wolong Bay, Moon Bay, and Fairy Bay—all offering breathtaking views of crystal-clear waters, forests, and mountains. Don't miss the famous Fish Viewing Platform, which provides one of the best views of the lake. After a day of exploration, return to Jiadenyu for another night at your hotel.

Day 5: Jiadenyu - Hemu Village – Burqin

This morning, head out to visit Hemu Village, a picturesque settlement known for its traditional wooden houses and scenic surroundings. Afterwards, travel to Burqin, where you will check in to the Burqin Fairy Tale Border City Hotel or a similar hotel. Relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Burqin for the evening.

Day 6: Burqin - Dushanzi/Kuitun

Today, visit the Baili Oilfield, a major oil production area in Xinjiang. Then, head to Wuerhe Devil City, a unique geological site with stunning, wind-sculpted rock formations. In the afternoon, make your way to Dushanzi or Kuitun, where you’ll check in to the Dushanzi Mai Tak Hotel or a similar hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 7: Dushanzi/Kuitun – Turpan

Day 8: Turpan

In Turpan, visit the Kumutage Desert Scenic Area, where you can enjoy the vast, mesmerizing desert landscape. Next, visit the iconic Flame Mountain, famous for its extreme heat and fiery red rocks. Continue your exploration with a visit to the Karez Wells, an ancient irrigation system used to bring water from the mountains to the desert. Finish the day by exploring the ruins of Jiaohe Ancient City, a once-thriving city that dates back over 2,000 years. In the evening, enjoy a Uygur family visit, offering insight into the local culture, cuisine, and way of life.

In the evening, check in to the Four Points by Sheraton Urumqi or a similar hotel for your last night in Xinjiang. You may have some free time to relax or enjoy a final evening stroll in Urumqi.

Day 10: Departure from Urumqi
