Day 2: Chengdu – Nyingchi
This morning, take a flight to Nyingchi, Tibet—often referred to as the “Switzerland of the East” for its breathtaking landscapes. Upon arrival, your local Tibetan guide will greet you at the airport. Enjoy a scenic one-hour drive (approx. 55km) to the city, taking in the natural beauty along the way.
On the way, visit the 2500-year-old sacred pine tree, a living relic that has stood through centuries of Tibetan history and spirituality. After the visit, check in to your hotel and spend the afternoon resting and acclimatizing to the altitude.

Day 3: Nyingchi – Pome
Wake up to a peaceful morning in the pristine beauty of Nyingchi. Today’s journey takes you on a scenic drive to Pome, filled with stunning natural vistas along the way.
Your first highlight is a pause at the Sekyim La Pass (4720m). On a clear day, you may catch a breathtaking view of Mount Namcha Barwa, revered as the “Father of Icebergs.” Towering at 7,782 meters, this majestic peak is one of Tibet’s most awe-inspiring sights.
Continue through the enchanting Lulang Forest, a 15km-long, 1km-wide alpine valley known as “Dragon Valley” in Tibetan. Here, nature’s beauty unfolds in every direction—lush green mountains draped in spruce and pine, vibrant meadows dotted with wildflowers, wooden Tibetan homes nestled beside clear streams, and in the distance, soaring snow-capped peaks. It’s a landscape so serene and dreamlike, it’s said to be a place where one never feels homesick.
After a day immersed in nature’s grandeur, arrive in Pome and check into your hotel for the night.

Day 4: Pome
Today promises a visual feast of some of the most stunning natural landscapes in Tibet. After breakfast, embark on a scenic 104km drive to the spectacular Midui Glacier, one of the top six most beautiful glaciers in China as ranked by China National Geography. This extraordinary glacier is a masterpiece of nature, with its dramatic terrain featuring towering 800-meter icefalls, expansive snowfields, and striking formations in various shapes and layers. At its base, emerald forests stretch out toward peaceful Tibetan villages, farmlands, and serene ice lakes, creating a breathtaking contrast between ice and life.
After soaking in the icy splendor, continue to your final destination of the day – Rawok Lake. Formed around 200 years ago by natural landslides and debris flows, this barrier lake is known for its crystal-clear waters and mirror-like reflections. The surrounding scenery — grassy meadows, lush forests, snow-capped peaks, and open skies — transforms with the seasons, creating a constantly changing panorama of colors and moods. It’s a peaceful and photogenic haven that offers a perfect end to the day's journey.

Day 5: Pome – Nyingchi
Wake up to the crisp mountain air and take a final moment to soak in the tranquil beauty of Pome. Today, you'll travel back to Nyingchi, but not without experiencing more of the region’s enchanting nature along the way.
En route, enjoy a light hike in the Gangspruce Forest, one of the most picturesque and lush woodlands in the Nyingchi area. Towering spruces, moss-covered paths, and the soothing sounds of rustling leaves and birdsong create a serene atmosphere—perfect for a peaceful walk and stunning nature photography.
Continue your journey along the famous National Road 318, considered one of the most scenic routes in China. As the road winds through mountains and valleys, you'll witness ever-changing landscapes, from dense forests to open meadows and distant snow-capped peaks.
In the evening, treat yourself to a local specialty—Stone Pot Chicken, a delicious and hearty Tibetan-style stew, slow-cooked in a traditional stone pot to bring out its rich flavors.

Day 6: Nyingchi – Lhasa
After breakfast, begin your scenic journey from Nyingchi to Lhasa, traveling along the beautiful Yarlung Tsangpo (Yalong) River Valley. Take a refreshing hike along the riverside, where the crystal-clear waters, dense woodlands, and snow-capped peaks offer a spectacular start to the day.
En route, stop at Ghading Valley, a hidden gem surrounded by untouched nature. This peaceful area invites you to slow down and appreciate the pristine Tibetan landscape.
Next, visit the stunning Lake Basum-Tsu, often referred to as “Little Switzerland of Tibet.” Surrounded by towering snow mountains, charming country lodges, evergreen forests, and untouched jungle, this alpine lake is renowned for its breathtaking beauty and tranquil charm. The mirror-like surface of the lake reflects the surrounding scenery, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.
In the afternoon, continue the drive toward Lhasa, Tibet’s historic and spiritual capital. Along the way, take in the ever-changing landscapes—rolling valleys, dramatic cliffs, and grazing yaks scattered across the highlands.

Day 7: Lhasa
After breakfast, meet your guide in the hotel lobby and begin your day immersed in the spiritual and cultural heart of Tibet.
Your first stop is the majestic Potala Palace, originally built in the 7th century by the great Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo. Perched high on Red Hill at an altitude of over 3,700 meters, it proudly holds the title of the highest palace in the world. Once the winter residence of the Dalai Lama, the Potala is not only a symbol of Tibetan Buddhism, but also a sacred site that houses the tombs of past Dalai Lamas. Its architectural grandeur is matched only by its cultural significance.
Inside the palace, you'll find yourself surrounded by a rich tapestry of mural art, colorful thangkas, and sacred relics. Of particular note are the 698 murals along the second-floor corridor, depicting captivating Buddhist stories, local legends, and scenes of ancient Tibetan life.
After lunch, continue your journey at the Jokhang Temple, located in the heart of Lhasa’s old town. With a history spanning over 1,400 years, Jokhang is revered as the spiritual center of Tibet and one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Tibetan Buddhists. The atmosphere here is deeply spiritual, with pilgrims prostrating in devotion as they circle the temple.
End the day with a stroll through Barkhor Street, a vibrant marketplace encircling the Jokhang Temple. This bustling street is lined with stalls selling traditional Tibetan crafts, including prayer wheels, thangkas, butter lamps, handmade jewelry, incense, and colorful prayer flags. It's the perfect place to soak in local life and pick up unique souvenirs.

Day 8: Lhasa – Chengdu
After breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to the mystical land of Tibet. Your guide will assist with check-out and transfer you to the airport for your flight to Chengdu.
Upon arrival in Chengdu, your local guide will greet you at the airport. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city at your own pace. You may wish to visit the famous Kuan & Zhai Alley, a beautifully preserved historic quarter featuring traditional courtyards, trendy boutiques, and teahouses. Another great option is Chunxi Road, Chengdu’s bustling shopping street, or Jinli Folk Cultural Village, where you can experience Sichuan’s rich cultural heritage through architecture, street snacks, and local crafts.
Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, lies at the junction of the Yellow and Yangtze Rivers. Known for its vibrant culture, leisurely lifestyle, and the unique flavors of its ethnic minority traditions, Chengdu offers a warm welcome back from the highlands of Tibet.

Day 9: Depart from Chengdu
Enjoy a leisurely morning in Chengdu. Take this time to stroll through the city, grab a final taste of Sichuan cuisine, or pick up last-minute souvenirs.
At the designated time, your guide and driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight back to Singapore.
