Detailed Itinerary

 

Day 1: Arrival in Paro

Your journey begins with your arrival at Paro International Airport, where you will be warmly greeted by your guide. From the airport, you will be taken to Tamchog Lhakang Temple, a serene and historic site, where you will enjoy a traditional Bhutanese welcome tea. This is a perfect introduction to Bhutan’s rich culture and hospitality. Afterwards, you’ll take a leisurely town orientation walk through Paro, allowing you to soak in the local atmosphere and get acquainted with the surroundings. The day concludes with a check-in at Seva Hotel or a similar comfortable accommodation, where you can relax and prepare for the adventures ahead.

Day 2: Paro – Thimphu

After breakfast, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital city. Your first stop is the Memorial Chorten, a revered stupa built in honor of Bhutan’s third king. Next, you’ll visit the towering Buddha Dordenma statue, a breathtaking symbol of peace and prosperity. The Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan’s unique national animal, the takin, is your next destination, offering a chance to observe these fascinating creatures up close. Day 3: Thimphu – Punakha

On a clear day, you’ll be treated to panoramic views of the Himalayas. Upon reaching Punakha, you’ll visit Chimi Lhakhang, a fertility temple surrounded by picturesque rice fields. Later, you’ll visit a local nunnery, where you’ll enjoy tea with the nuns and participate in a short meditation session led by the chief nun, offering a peaceful and reflective experience. The day concludes with a check-in at Haven Resort or a similar tranquil retreat.
