Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa

Upon arrival at Lhasa Konggar Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and escorted to your designated vehicle. From there, you will embark on an approximately one-hour drive (60km) to the Sunlight City of Lhasa, a sacred city with 1300 years of history. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and take a good rest to acclimate to the 3650m altitude.

Day 2: Exploration of Lhasa

In the morning, marvel at the timeless Potala Palace, situated atop the world's highest altitude. This sacred residence of Dalai Lamas has been a focal point of Tibetan governance and spirituality since the 7th century. Later, visit the revered Jokhang Temple, cherished for its 1350-year-old history and its central role in Tibetan Buddhism. Conclude the day at Barkhor Street, a vibrant pedestrian hub renowned for its ethnic crafts market.

Day 3: Monasteries and Cultural Immersion

After breakfast, begin your day at Zhebang Temple, a significant Gelugpa monastery known for its spiritual atmosphere and intricate architecture. In the afternoon, explore Norbulingka, the summer residence of the Dalai Lamas, and Sera Monastery, where you may witness enlightening Monk Debates. Delve deeper into Tibetan culture at the Tibetan Medicine and Culture Exhibition Center. End your day with the captivating cultural performance "Princess Wencheng," set against a stunning backdrop.

Day 4: Scenic Drive to Shigatse

After departing from Lhasa in the morning, you'll embark on an adventurous journey to Shigatse. Along the way, you'll be treated to breathtaking scenery as you drive 110km to Yamdroktso, one of Tibet's three sacred lakes. The route takes you through the dramatic landscapes of Kambala Pass and Karola Pass, offering panoramic views of turquoise lakes and glaciers. Continuing your journey, you'll stop in Gyantse to explore the historic Kumbum Monastery. Finally, you'll arrive in Shigatse, Tibet's second-largest city, where you'll spend the night.

Day 5: Exploration from Shigatse to Tingri

Begin your day exploring Shigatse with a visit to the historic Tashilunpo Monastery, the traditional seat of the Panchen Lama. As you travel, witness the changing landscapes of Tibet, from lush valleys to rugged mountain passes. Arrive in Tingri, the gateway to Mt. Everest, where you can refresh and prepare for the next leg of your journey.

Day 6: Journey to Everest Base Camp

Depart Tingri early in the morning for an exhilarating drive to Everest Base Camp. The route covers approximately 100km, offering stunning views of the Himalayan range, including peaks over 8,000 meters such as Makalu, Lhotse, and of course, Everest itself. Marvel at the breathtaking sight of Mt. Everest, especially enchanting during sunrise and sunset when the peak glows in the sun's golden hues. Visit Rongpuk Monastery, the world's highest monastery, for an unforgettable view of Mt. Everest at 5,200 meters above sea level. Afterwards, return to Shigatse, taking in the natural beauty along the way.

Day 7: Return to Lhasa

Upon arrival in Lhasa, take an evening tour of Potala Palace Square, soaking in the majestic ambience of this historic site.
