Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar
Arrive at Chinggis Khan International Airport, where you will meet your local guide and driver. Travel to the Giant Chinggis Statue in Tsonjin Boldog. Explore the museum and enjoy the view from the statue’s viewpoint. You can also opt for a horse or camel ride (at own expense) or take a photo with an eagle (at own expense). After lunch at a nearby restaurant, transfer to your hotel in downtown Ulaanbaatar for check-in. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to rest or explore the city.

Day 2: Ulaanbaatar - Tsagaan Suvarga
After breakfast, travel to Tsagaan Suvarga, a stunning sedimentary rock formation, resembling an ancient seabed. Stop for lunch in Mandalgobi town. Upon arrival, check into your camp. In the afternoon, enjoy a hike to the Tsagaan Suvarga cliffs for breathtaking views. Afterward, return to the ger lodge for a delicious dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Tsagaan Suvarga - Bayanzag
Continue your journey into the Gobi Desert, stopping for lunch in Dalanzadgad. Afterwards, continue to Bayanzag, also known as the Flaming Cliffs. Famous for dinosaur fossil discoveries in the 1920s, this area offers a vivid red rock landscape. You’ll pass camel herds and traditional herding families along the way. Check into your camp, enjoy a restful evening, and have dinner.

Day 4: Bayanzag - Khongor
Today, travel to the Khongor Sand Dunes, one of Mongolia's largest, where the dunes reach heights of 200 meters. The dunes are known for their “singing” sound as the wind blows over them. Visit Seruun Bulag to see the Khongor River flowing through the desert. You can opt for a climb to the top of the dunes or enjoy camel riding at a local camel breeder’s home (at own expense). Return to your ger camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Khongor - Dalanzadgad
After breakfast, visit Yoliin Am (Vulture Valley) in the Gurvan Saikhan Mountains. Known for its beautiful ice formations and wildlife, this valley is home to Argali wild sheep and Ibex. You can hike for 1-2 hours, or enjoy optional horse riding (at own expense). In the afternoon, travel to Dalanzadgad, check into a local hotel, and enjoy a meal at a local restaurant.

Day 6: Dalanzadgad - Dundgobi
Today, head towards Dundgobi province, stopping for lunch in Mandalgobi. Upon arrival, check into a ger camp in the afternoon. In the late afternoon, explore the surrounding area and visit Surtiin Am, home to ancient stone temple ruins and a 20-meter-long cave. Return to the ger camp for dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Day 7: Dundgobi - Ulaanbaatar
After breakfast, begin the journey back to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival, check into your hotel, then enjoy a short city tour, including a visit to the National History Museum. The museum offers insights into Mongolia’s rich cultural heritage. Sukhbaatar Square, the heart of Ulaanbaatar, is a short walk away. In the evening, enjoy a performance of traditional Mongolian dancing and throat singing (khöömei), followed by a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
