Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar
Meet the local staff at the airport after custom formalities and transfer to Best Western Tuushin Hotel 4*. The rest of the day is at leisure, taking good rest before your adventure in Mongolia.
Stay - Best Western Tuushin Hotel 4*
Approximate drive duration: ~1 hour.
Day 2: Ancient capital Karakorum via Elsen Tasarkhai
Meet your tour guide & driver at 8.00 am at the hotel lobby and drive to the Ancient Capital Karakorum. Explore Bayan Gobi sand dunes (Elsen Tasarkhai) and Khugnu Khan nature reserve. Visit a camel breeder family, enjoy 1-hour camel riding, and transfer to a ger camp.
Stay - Ger camp/Standard or Ensuite Gers/Local 4* Hotel (for Oct – May)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner provided during the day.
Approximate drive duration: ~6 hours.
Day 3: A day in ancient capital Karakorum
Visit Erdene Zuu Monastery and the Museum of Karakorum. Overnight at the ger camp.
Stay - Ger camp/Standard or Ensuite Gers/Local 4* Hotel (for Oct – May)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner provided during the day.
Approximate drive duration: 1-2 hours.
Day 4: Hustai National Park
Head to the Mongol Nomadic Camp for a 'nomadic show.' Explore Hustai National Park to see the last wild horse species, the Przewalski horse.
Stay - Mongol Nomadic Ger Camp or Similar/Standard or Ensuite Gers
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner provided during the day.
Approximate drive duration: ~5 hours.
Day 5: Gun Galuut Nature Reserve
Drive to Gun Galuut Nature Reserve. Visit a nomadic family, enjoy horse riding, and hike to Mt. Baits. Optional fishing or kayaking.
Stay - Steppe Nomads Ger Camp/Standard or Ensuite Gers/Nomadic Family Stay
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner provided during the day.
Approximate drive duration: ~5 hours.
Day 6: Ulaanbaatar
Morning leisure, afternoon drive to Ulaanbaatar. Stop at Giant Chinggis Statue. Transfer to Best Western Tuushin Hotel 4*.
Stay - Best Western Tuushin Hotel 4*
Meals: Breakfast and Lunch provided during the day.
Approximate drive duration: ~4 hours.
Day 7: Ulaanbaatar City Tour
Visit Sukhbaatar Square, the National History Museum, and Bogd Khaan’s Palace Museum. Enjoy a traditional music & dance performance by the Tumen Ekh ensemble. Farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
Stay - Best Western Tuushin Hotel 4*
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner provided during the day.
Day 8: Departure from Ulaanbaatar
Transfer to the airport after breakfast.
Meals: Breakfast provided.
Approximate drive duration: 1 hour.
Prices start from minimum SGD 3048 for 4* Stays, or SGD 3888 for 5* Stays.
